She can use a straw!!!

We were having dinner with the Yeoh's yesterday and I gave her some barley. Thinking that she doesn't know how to suck from a straw, I tempted her by putting the straw in her mouth. We tried a few times. She just opened her mouth to wait for the barley to be dropped in her mouth. 

The most shocking thing happened when I told her to look at me and I drank. Then I passed the straw to her, and she drank!!!! Everything happened so fast that I got a shock. I was first afraid that she would choke and secondly, that barley was too sweet for her consumption. 

When we got home, I tried getting her to use the straw again with plain. Success! I think she really got it. Can't help but say that she is smart!!! Thank God! 

We are currently back at Aljunied. Going back to work in a few hours' time. I'm already missing her.

And there she was, smiling after being woken up by Chloe's shouting and slamming of door at 11plus. She could have slept by then if Chloe didn't make so much noise.
